Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye is expected to make his return to the field after missing the last three games due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Denver Broncos in Week 5.
Paye hadn’t practiced at all until this week, but he was able to log two practices as a full participant, which bodes well for his workload against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
“Yeah, Kwity will be ready to go,” said head coach Frank Reich on Friday. “We’ll just monitor him as we go but he’s had a pretty good week.”
Through the first five games of the season, Paye was on his way to a breakout campaign. He was making plays as a pass rusher while also being a dominant force against the run coming off the edge.
Even though the Colts will be without Tyquan Lewis, who ruptured his patellar tendon in Week 8, Paye will slide right back into his starting role assuming he doesn’t have any setbacks leading up to the game.
