Indianapolis Colts free-agent safety Julian Blackmon is scheduled to visit the San Francisco 49ers.
Blackmon previously had a visit with the Buffalo Bills in free agency, but they opted to sign Mike Edwards, who also visited with the Colts this week.

Blackmon is one of the top safeties available on the market, and the Colts may be waiting to see what kind of deals he will be offered from other teams before making their own.
Switching to the strong safety position in 2023, Blackmon thrived in the new role, recording career-high marks in tackles (88), solo tackles (55), tackles for loss (five), interceptions (four) and passes defensed (eight).
According to Pro Football Focus, Blackmon also thrived in coverage. He allowed a 70.5% reception rate and a 57.5 passer rating on 44 targets.
