The Indianapolis Colts elevated running back Jake Funk and wide receiver Juwann Winfree from the practice squad to the active roster, the team announced Saturday.
With Zack Moss downgraded to doubtful for Sunday’s season opener due to a forearm injury, the Colts needed to add some depth to the running back room. Assuming Moss will be inactive, Funk will join Deon Jackson and Evan Hull as the active running backs in the backfield.
