Colorado Women’s Soccer Players School Pat McAfee in Trick Shot Competition

The Colorado women’s soccer team is ranked No. 22 in the country, which gives fans another sport to be excited about besides just the suddenly prominent Buffaloes football team.

While Pat McAfee was in Boulder for ESPN’s College GameDay, the former punter was challenged by the Buffaloes women’s soccer team to a trick-shot competition. McAfee competed against Colorado goalkeeper Jordan Nytes and midfielder Juliauna Hayward to determine who could hit the most crossbars by kicking a soccer ball.

Colorado posted the video on social media, and it features a lot of trash talk from Nytes and Hayward. In the end, while McAfee and Hayward missed all of their kicks, Nytes hit two crossbars in impressive fashion.

McAfee was so impressed by Nytes that he joked that she must be a professional trick-shot artist.

“I feel like you’re a ringer for this,” McAfee said. “Is that that right? Are you the greatest on Earth at doing this? … I feel like I walked into a bamboozle. I will say, that was awesome.”

McAfee ended his visit by pleading with the soccer team to win the national championship, a tall task but certainly possible for a team ranked among the best in the country. The Buffs proceeded to defeat the University of Denver on Friday night, improving to 8-1 on the season.
