Colorado Fans Break Out Into ‘We Want Bama’ Chant Ahead of Nebraska Game

All eyes have been on Colorado and football coach Deion Sanders since the Buffaloes secured the upset on the road against TCU in Week 1.

As Sanders prepares to lead Colorado against Nebraska in the Buffaloes home opener, fans are still basking in last week’s win and calling for more than just a matchup with the Cornhuskers. Ahead of Saturday’s game, fans were overheard chanting “We want Bama” in reference to seeing a hypothetical battle between Colorado and Alabama.

Colorado’s victory against last year’s CFP runner-up generated a ton of media attention and a week of dialogue about the program’s trajectory this season. It also started a media blitz around Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders—the son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer—and two-way sensation Travis Hunter.

Colorado enters its matchup against Nebraska ranked No. 22 after starting the season unranked. If the Buffaloes take care of business against the Cornhuskers, continue to defy the odds and embrace Sanders’ “believe” mindset, don’t expect fans in Boulder to silence the chants.

In fact, the shouts for Nick Saban’s squad will only get louder.
