Colliers latest to sign up to 103 Colmore Row

Commercial property agency Colliers is the latest firm to agree a deal for space at a brand office tower in Birmingham.

The firm is taking 9,200 sq ft on the 19th floor of 103 Colmore Row where it will join a host of other professional services companies in the city following a flurry of deals.

The 125-strong Birmingham office, one of 13 run by Colliers across the UK, has 15 service lines operating across the Midlands and will relocate from 11 Brindleyplace in November.

Head of the Birmingham team James Cubitt said: "Our office agency team is joint agent for 103 Colmore Row so we are very familiar with the building and knew that we had to act quickly if we wanted to secure our own spot."

103 Colmore Row, which sits at the corner with Newhall Street, has more than 220,000 sq ft of grade A office space across 26 storeys.

It is being developed by a joint venture team of Tristan Capital Partners and Sterling Property Ventures and has already struck office deals with engineering consultancy Arcadis, law firm Shoosmiths and financial services firm Grant Thornton among others.

There is also a restaurant on the 24th floor and a ground-floor bar and café, operated by D&D London, due to open soon.

Flexible workspace operator x+why is also running a members' business club on the 18th floor and three floors of office space.

James Howarth, managing director of Sterling Property Ventures, said: "We answered Birmingham's call for a landmark building in the central business core and have been bowled over with the market's response. Colliers is the tenth office occupier to sign up at 103 Colmore Row and we have keen interest in the remaining floors."

Paul Pritchard, director at Tristan Capital Partners, added: "Colliers joins 103 Colmore Row's joint agent Knight Frank at the building, demonstrating how much they both believe in the product and its credentials."
