No. 12 Arizona went into Cameron Indoor Stadium and upset No. 2 Duke 78–73 on Friday night in a thrilling early-season top 15 showdown.
The Wildcats, who were 5.5-point road underdogs, received a balanced effort with all five starters scoring double-figures.
North Carolina transfer Caleb Love was clutch down the stretch, making four pivotal free throws in the final seconds.
Duke, which was undefeated at home last season, dropped to 1–1 in Jon Scheyer’s second season at the helm of the Blue Devils. Kyle Filipowski left the way for Duke scoring a game-high 25 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the upset.
