ESPN’s “College GameDay” has determined where it will be for Week 5 of the 2024 college football season. The GameDay crew plans to attend the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs at No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide game on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
GameDay will begin coverage at 9:00 a.m. ET on Saturday. This will be the first time that former Alabama head coach Nick Saban has returned to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as an analyst for GameDay.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is glad that Nick Saban is still an essential part of college football.
“He’s extremely thorough and he enjoys what he does,” said Smart on Nick Saban. “I’m thrilled that he gets an opportunity to do what he wants to do and be with who he wants to be with within his family and enjoy that. I’m really happy he’s still part of college football because he makes college football better.”

Smart is just 1-5 in his career against Alabama. This will be his first time facing the Crimson Tide during the Kalen DeBoer era.
Last week, GameDay went to the Tennessee at Oklahoma game, which was Oklahoma’s first game in the expanded SEC.
Other top games in Week 5 include Oklahoma State at Kansas State, Louisville at Notre Dame, and Illinois at Penn State. Conference play is getting ramped up, so there are way more games between two Power Four teams this week.
There’s a decent chance that GameDay will attend three other Georgia football games this regular season (at Ole Miss, at Texas and vs. Tennessee).
