College Football Fans Were Amazed When Rutgers Used Fumblerooski Against Ohio State

Rutgers is playing its biggest home game of the year on Saturday, hosting No. 1 Ohio State with a chance to pull off the massive upset. So, the Scarlet Knights are pulling out all the stops to try and gain an edge in the game.

Down 7–0 and facing a fourth-and-1 at midfield, Rutgers went for it and called a trick play, intentionally fumbling to try and confuse the defense. Not only did the play work, but Kyle Monangai ran the ball all the way down inside the 15-yard line to set the Scarlet Knights offense up in the red zone.

The play itself appeared to be a modified fumblerooski, as Rutgers faked the popular “Tush Push” to draw the defense in, then bouncing the ball outside for a big gain.

As the highlight hit social media, fans loved Rutgers’s creativity while facing a powerhouse team like Ohio State.
