College Football Fans Cringe After Texas A&M Player Delivers Violent Low Blow

No. 11 Ole Miss’s 38–35 win over Texas A&M may have been one of Saturday’s most exciting games, but one of the game’s biggest headlines had little to do with the action on the field.

College football fans took to social media to weigh in on the ejection of Texas A&M defensive lineman Shemar Turner after he delivered a vicious low blow to Ole Miss offensive lineman Micah Pettus midway through the third quarter.

The exchange occurred after a play inside the Aggies red zone, when cameras caught Pettus tussling with Turner, who was underneath him after the whistle. Pettus then stood to his feet with Turner’s head between his legs and his hands in the air, which then lead to the frustrated D-lineman unloading a devastating uppercut to his groin.

Turner’s retaliation led to a quick ejection for the junior on a rough day in Oxford where the Aggies fell to 5–4 on the season.

Naturally, the wild scene instantly became a viral clip that became a hot topic of conversation amongst CFB fans, with many collectively cringing at the obviously painful and questionable punch:
