Colin Farrell's youngest son will be his 'plus one' for Oscars ceremony

Colin Farrell has revealed that he will be bringing his youngest son Henry along with him to the glitzy Oscar's ceremony in Hollywood this week.

The Dublin star is nominated for best actor for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin and he told IndieWire that he and his 13-year-old son Henry will walk the red carpet together at the Oscars in matching velvet tuxedos. Colin said: "My youngest fellow will be my plus one.

"So the two of us are wearing the same tuxedos and we’re looking forward to it." Colin Farrell is a proud dad to two boys, son James Padraig now 19 was born in 2003 to Colin and American model Kim Bordenave.

He then became a father for the second time in October 2009 to son Henry Tadeusz, with Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. In a Vanity Fair interview, Colin gave a little more insight into the father and son matching tuxedos, saying they'll be wearing velvet.

After his big win at the Golden Globes, Colin gave a nice shout out to his two sons who he called the “loves of his life” in his 2023 Golden Globes acceptance speech. He said: “My kids at home are watching this, James and Henry, the loves of my life. I love you so much."

In his interview with Vanity Fair, the Castleknock native said that he still pinches himself when he realises what he does for a living. He said: "At times I still pinch myself that I get to do what I do for a living. And I know it’s not curing cancer and I know it’s not splitting the atom, but films have played a really important part of my life as a boy, as a young man.

"They do today as a man. They play an important part of my life as a father.

He added: "Myself, my two kids, films are a real cornerstone of our relationships,” he added.
