Colin Farrell and rarely seen son wear matching suits to Oscars as they share heartwarming moment

Hearts were melting at a snap of Colin Farrell and his young son Henry pictured together at the Oscars.

The Dublin-born Hollywood star shared a special moment with his 13-year-old son Henry, who he brought with him to the Academy Awards in Los Angeles last night.

The pair were all smiles as they entered onto the red carpet laid out in the Dolby Theatre, dressed in matching tuxedos.

Henry is the second son of Farrell, who he shares with Henry's mother Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, his co-star in the 2009 film Ondine.

Leading up to the night, the Hollywood star said heading to the Oscars with his son was a real "pinch me" moment.

"Movies are the cornerstone of our relationship," he said, speaking of his sons Henry and James.

Despite being overlooked for Best Actor along with fellow Irishman Paul Mescal, it was this special moment that caught the eye of all those in attendance.

In an interview with ExtraTV on the red carpet last night, teenager Henry said that Colin is a "really nice dad."

The Banshees of Inisherin star admitted that he and Henry spent Friday night eating cheeseburgers and watching The Whale starring Brendan Fraser, as the rest of Hollywood tangoed at a number of pre-Oscar parties.

"We had the best time," he added, while all smiles with his son.

One Twitter user wrote: "Colin Farrell at the #oscars with his son was very cool to see!!" while another said: "Colin Farrell and his son is cute, I want to cry."
