Coleraine midfielder Stephen Lowry became the 79th 'deal' done by Irish League clubs in a frantic summer transfer window so far after agreeing a new contract at the Ballycastle Road Showgrounds.
Lowry, four years into his second spell with Oran Kearney’s Bannsiders, has put pen-to-paper on a one year extension until the end of next season.
The 35-year-old, who has made 340 appearances for the club, is the 26th Danske Bank Premiership player to agree a contract extension during one of the busiest windows in recent memory.

Top flight clubs have also been involved in 45 transfers and six loan deals while Portadown boss Paul Doolin and Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter also agreed new deals in recent weeks.
Lowry, who was Coleraine’s player of the year last season, believes Coleraine have done good business with the recent arrival of Larne duo Lee Lynch and Dean Jarvis and Glenavon winger Jack O’Mahony.
Jamie Glackin also ended speculation on his future when he agreed a new three-year contract with the North West club in May.
“We have made some good signings this summer and Coleraine is the only club I want to play for,” said Lowry.
“I understand with my age and everything else that I’ll only be offered one-year contracts but I’m looking forward to the new campaign.”
Coleraine boss Oran Kearney said: “Stevie is a great pro and athlete and he leads by example. He more than deserves this new deal.”
Lowry, who rejoined Coleraine for a second spell from Linfield in 2018, is currently recovering from a routine knee operation but expects to be fit and ready for action in September.
