Coleen Rooney thanked Danielle Lloyd for Wagatha support but hasn't asked her to be in doc

Danielle Lloyd has opened up about Coleen Rooney's reaction to her support following her Wagtha Christie trial victory.

Coleen, 36, faced Rebekah Vardy in a high profile court case earlier this year and, in July, judge Mrs Justice Steyn ruled in favour of Wayne Rooney's wife.

The high-profile trial saw many showbiz fans gripped as a number of famous faces got entangled into the trial including Peter Andre and Danielle, 38, who was mentioned in a number of messages handed over as evidence in court.

Model Danielle's miscarriage in 2019 was even detailed in some of the messages between Rebekah, 40, and her agent at the time Caroline Watt.

Former WAG Danielle largely remained quiet in the build up to the trial, but spoke in May to throw her support behind Coleen after Danielle's name was brought up in the evidence hearing ahead of the trial.

She said: "I don't think we will actually ever get to the bottom of who actually leaked those stories. So whatever the outcome, obviously, hopefully both girls can just get on with their lives, but obviously I am rooting for Coleen."

After the trial brought up a difficult time for Danielle, who was also labelled a "nasty b***h" by Rebekah in another explosive text, Jamie O'Hara's ex has revealed she is pleased the trial ruled in Coleen's favour.

She told OK!: "I spoke to Coleen and she thanked me for the support, which was really nice.

"I’m just so happy for her and happy that she actually got justice."

Danielle added: "And the people who got named – like me, Peter [Andre] - I didn’t want to be dragged into it. There was no need for some of those text messages. They contained some really nasty, catty comments. She [Rebekah] said they were private text messages and no one was ever meant to see them. But I don’t say things like that about people, even in private. I’m not a nasty person. I found it quite hurtful."

Model Danielle is mum to Archie, 12, Harry, 11, George, eight, who she shares with her footballer ex Jamie. She also also has son Ronnie, who will turn five later this month, and daughter Autumn, who will turn one in November, with husband Michael O'Neill.

Danielle said Rebekah's post-trial interview was 'shocking' (TALKTV)

She revealed that Danielle, who is yet to be asked by Coleen to appear in her three-part Disney+ documentary, felt Rebekah's interview after the verdict was "shocking".

She added: "i think she was looking for sympathy. Some of it was laughable. I think she should leave the subject alone now and accept the judge’s decision. I just laughed when she said, 'If I saw Coleen, I’d take her for a coffee.' I said, 'There’s more chance of Boris Johnson being Prime Minister again'!"

It comes after Danielle shared her upset over being brought up in the Wagatha trial.

She told Talk TV: "It's honestly it really upset me and, you know, it’s brought back very bad memories."
