Cold weather alert issued as snow forecast to hit UK

United Kingdom UKHSA UK Health Security Agency England Met Office

A yellow cold health alert has been put in place for seven regions across England, posing ‘a greater risk to life of vulnerable people’.

The alert, from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), will run from 6am on Friday until 8am on Monday, and covers the South West, the Midlands, the North East, the North West and Yorkshire and The Humber.
