Colby Parkinson excited to be ‘coming back home’ to Los Angeles

Colby Parkinson has spent his entire football career on the West Coast and that’s not going to change in 2024. The Los Angeles Rams agreed to a three-year deal worth $22.5 million with Parkinson, bringing him home to California.

Parkinson was born in San Ramon, Calif., and played his high school ball Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, which is only about an hour away from SoFi Stadium where the Rams play. This is a homecoming for Parkinson, who couldn’t be more excited about heading from Seattle to Los Angeles as a new member of the Rams.

Here’s how Parkinson reacted to his new deal on Twitter.

In four years with the Seahawks, Parkinson caught 57 passes for 618 yards and four touchdowns. He didn’t get many opportunities in his first two seasons but in each of the last two years, he caught 25 passes and totaled 569 yards; he set a career-high with 322 yards in 2022.

He’ll hope to build on that with the Rams next season, potentially as the team’s top tight end if Tyler Higbee misses significant time due to his torn ACL and MCL.
