Police are investigating reports of coins being thrown at away fans during Forest's clash with Leicester in an otherwise trouble-free game. Officers had warned fans that police would be working closely with Nottingham Forest to deal with any issues following violent disorder at last year's FA Cup tie between the two sides.
Problems included severe damage to the Fat Cat bar on Chapel Bar in Nottingham, with eight men from Leicestershire awaiting sentence for that incident. Following a Premier League fixture on Saturday, January 14, Nottinghamshire Police says there were no "major incidents."
But LeicestershireLive reports that Nottinghamshire Police will be investigating reports of coins being thrown at away fans during the game, which Forest won 2-0. A Leicestershire Police football account also tweeted that an away fan was arrested for throwing a bottle over the segregation.

Chief Inspector Jon Foy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said only a "very small minority" cause trouble and ruin games. He said: "It was great to see so many people turn up on Saturday and being well-behaved and enjoying the game. Our officers were there as part of an operation working alongside Nottingham Forest Football Club to make sure any issues were dealt with quickly and I’m pleased to say the operation was successful without any major incidents.
"I want to personally say thank you to the fans on both sides for their behaviour yesterday and for making sure their actions didn’t ruin the match for anyone. We know it is only a very small minority who cause trouble and ruin the games for others but their actions can ruin the event for everyone, so it was great to see everyone behaving.
“Our focus is always to keep the public safe and make sure they have a trouble-free time and can enjoy watching their teams play without anyone spoiling the event - which is why we take such a strong stance when it comes to patrolling football matches. I also want to thank the officers on duty for all their hard work in policing the match and we look forward to hosting Leicester City again in the future."
