Coffee Prices Under Pressure From an Increase in Brazil's Coffee Exports

Sep arabica coffee (KCU23) this morning is down -0.30 (-0.19%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU23) is down -9 (-0.34%).

Coffee prices this morning are slightly lower.  An increase in Brazil's coffee exports is weighing on coffee prices after Cecafe today reported Brazil's Jul green coffee exports rose +22% y/y to 2.7 mln bags, with robusta Jul exports more than tripling to 505,153 bags.  Strength in the Brazilian real is limiting losses in arabica prices after the real (^USDBRL) today climbed to a 1-week high against the dollar.  A stronger real discourages export selling from Brazil's coffee producers.
