Coffee Prices Slide on Weakness in the Brazilian Real

Ice Brazil Vietnam Mar ICE the USDA FAS International Coffee Organization

May arabica coffee (KCK24) this morning is down -2.50 (-1.37%), and Mar ICE robusta coffee (RMH24) is down -73 (-2.30%).

Coffee prices this morning are moderately lower, with robusta falling to a 7-week low.  Weakness in the Brazilian real weighs on coffee prices as the real (^USDBRL) today fell to a 2-week low against the dollar.  The weaker real encourages export selling from Brazil's coffee producers.
