Coffee Prices Settle Mixed on Short Covering

December arabica coffee (KCZ24) Tuesday closed up +3.55 (+1.45%), and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX24) closed down -12 (-0.25%).

Coffee prices Tuesday settled mixed, with robusta falling to a 1-month low.  Arabica coffee moved higher Tuesday on some short covering following Monday's plunge when NY arabica coffee fell by -4.93%, and ICE robusta coffee fell by -3.93%.  Gains in coffee were limited as the Brazilin real (^USDBRL) Tuesday dropped to a 2-week low against the dollar, encouraging export selling by Brazil's coffee producers.
