Coffee Prices Finish Sharply Lower on Long Liquidation Pressures

May arabica coffee (KCK25) Thursday closed down -22.80 (-5.56%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK25) closed down -216 (-3.83%).

Coffee prices Thursday settled sharply lower as forecasts for rain in Brazil sparked long liquidation in coffee futures.  Somar Meteorologia said Thursday that dry and hot weather in Brazil for the rest of this week will give way to several days of showers next week, easing dry conditions.
