Coffee Prices Fall on Weakness in the Brazilian Real

Sep arabica coffee (KCU23) on Thursday closed down -2.20 (-1.32%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU23) closed down -29 (-1.08%).

Coffee prices Thursday gave up early gains and closed moderately lower.  Weakness in the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) weighed on coffee prices Thursday after the real dropped to a 3-week low against the dollar.  A weaker real encourages export selling from Brazil's coffee producers.
