Coffee Prices Break Out to 4-1/2 Month High

Dec arabica coffee (KCZ23) today is up 3.00 (+1.81%), and Jan ICE robusta coffee (RMF24) is up +12 (+0.52%).

Coffee prices are higher as current inventories shrink, a supportive factor for coffee prices.  ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories Thursday fell to a 24-year low of 368,100 bags.  Meanwhile, ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories were at 4,043 lots Friday, mildly above the record low of 3,374 lots posted on August 31.
