Coffee #1 is set to open another cafe in the Bristol area with building work well underway in the city centre. The coffee house chain is taking over a former Barclays bank at 60 Union Street making it the seventh outlet in the Bristol area.
The UK brand originated in Cardiff in 2001 and has since grown to more than 100 outlets across the country. BristolLive has reached out to the coffee chain for clarification on when the new site will open.
Coffee#1, which has been majority owned by parent group Caffè Nero since 2019, already has sites in Clifton, Bedminster, Henleaze, Westbury-On-Trym and the city centre. The chain has said sales increased to 117 per cent of pre-pandemic levels in October, with the company achieving its first-ever £1m gross sales week, reported World Coffee Portal.
