PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo has confirmed interest from Manchester United, claiming that the Premier League club were a 'serious option' for him.
United have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old all summer, with manager Erik ten Hag thought to be a big fan of the talented youngster. The PSV man is widely regarded as one of European football’s hottest prospects.
Gakpo registered 12 goals and 12 assists last season and has already bagged three goals and clocked up the same amount of assists from just three league matches this campaign.

United are focused on bringing Ajax star Antony to the club and are edging closer to completing a deal for the Brazilian.
Antony was omitted from the Ajax squad for the second successive game at FC Utrecht on Sunday and it is understood United are progressing on a deal for the forward.
Should Antony - or Gakpo - arrive at Old Trafford, they would become the club’s fifth signing of the transfer window after Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez and Christian Eriksen all joined the ranks.
While United have remained tight-lipped about Gakpo, the Dutch forward has claimed that the club are interested in signing him this summer.
Speaking to ESPN after his side’s 6-1 win over Excelsior on Sunday, he said: "There are also other options, United are a serious option.
"I can hear it all. I try to shut myself off from it, but it's difficult."
Gakpo has made 143 appearances for PSV since coming through the ranks at the club, scoring 46 goals and recording 39 assists.
