Cocoa Prices Tumble on West African Cocoa Crop Optimism

December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ25) today is down -251 (-3.27%), and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ25) is down -119 (-2.26%).

Cocoa prices are sharply lower today, with London cocoa falling to a 6-week low, after chocolate maker Mondelez International expressed optimism about this year's cocoa crop harvest in West Africa.  Mondelez said today that the latest cocoa pod count in West Africa is 7% above he five-year average and "materially higher" than last year's crop.
