Cocoa Prices Retreat on Beneficial Crop Weather in West Africa

July ICE NY cocoa (CCN25) Monday closed down -317 (-3.24%), and July ICE London cocoa #7 (CAN25) closed down -218 (-3.33%).

Cocoa prices on Monday gave up an early advance and fell sharply due to favorable weather in West Africa, which is expected to aid cocoa crop development in the world's largest cocoa-growing region.  Rain is forecast this week for the cocoa-growing regions of the Ivory Coast and Ghana.
