Cocoa Prices Recover as Ivory Coast Cocoa Exports Slow

December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ25) today is up +55 (+0.93%), and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ25) is down -7 (-0.17%).

Cocoa prices are mixed today.  Prices recovered from their worst levels today, with NY cocoa climbing into positive territory, as short covering emerged on signs of a slowdown in the pace of cocoa exports from the Ivory Coast, the world's largest cocoa producer.  Today's government data showed that Ivory Coast farmers shipped 133,209 MT of cocoa to ports this new marketing year from October 1 through October 19, down -31% compared with 192,804 MT in the same period a year ago.
