Cocoa Prices Fall on Favorable West Africa Growing Conditions

December ICE NY cocoa (CCZ25) is down -186 (-3.01%), and December ICE London cocoa #7 (CAZ25) is down -126 (-2.88%).

Cocoa prices today extended Monday's sell-off amid expectations of a global cocoa surplus driven by favorable West African weather and harvests.  Weather forecaster Vaisala on Monday forecasted scattered showers in the coming days in southern Nigeria and Cameroon.
