Cocoa Prices Fall on Exceptional Growing Conditions in West Africa

September ICE NY cocoa (CCU26) closed down -139 (-2.30%) on Tuesday, and September ICE London cocoa #7 (CAU26) closed down -82 (-1.91%).

Cocoa prices settled lower on Tuesday amid reports of exceptional growing conditions in the Ivory Coast and Ghana. The favorable weather has fostered new flowering on cocoa trees ahead of the start of the main crop harvest next month.
