Cocoa Prices Fall on Beneficial Rain in West Africa

July ICE NY cocoa (CCN25) today is down -79 (-0.81%), and July ICE London cocoa #7 (CAN25) is down -16 (-0.24%).

Cocoa prices today are under pressure and posted 2-week lows.  Cocoa prices are trading lower on forecasts for favorable rain in West Africa, which is expected to aid cocoa crop development in the world's largest cocoa-growing region.  Meteorologist Vaisala said that moderate showers are expected to continue through this week in the cocoa-growing regions of West Africa.
