Cocoa Prices Fall on an Increase in ICE Cocoa Inventories

July ICE NY cocoa (CCN23) on Tuesday closed down -41 (-1.40%), and July ICE London cocoa #7 (CAK23) closed down -11 (-0.50%).

Cocoa prices Tuesday fell moderately, with NY cocoa posting a 2-1/2 week low and London cocoa posting a 2-week low.  An increase in cocoa inventories is negative for prices after ICE-monitored cocoa inventories held in U.S. port warehouses rose to a 3-1/2 month high of 5,486,158 bags on Tuesday.   Also, ICE-monitored cocoa inventories held in European port warehouses rose to a 7-1/2 month high Monday of 139,840 MT.
