‘Cockroach’ party leaders released after seven days in custody over Delhi protests

The leaders of India’s “cockroach” movement were released on Wednesday after spending over a week in preventive custody after they waved the Indian flag at a newly de-notified protest site.

A special executive magistrate in Delhi ordered the release of Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka on the condition that they would not call for further protests at Jantar Mantar while the site remains de-notified.
