Cobra launches two new robot mowers built to tackle unpredictable British gardens

Cobra has launched two new wire-free RTK robot lawn mowers, combining satellite positioning and AI navigation to handle wet grass, slopes and uneven layouts.

The Mowbot 800X RTK currently priced at £769.99 and the larger Mowbot 1500X RTK at £899.99, and both are available from Cobra and selected UK retailers.

Cobra has unveiled its most advanced robot lawn mowers to date, with two new RTK Mowbots combining satellite positioning, AI-powered navigation and wire-free operation. Cobra says both models have been designed with British gardens and weather in mind, including wet grass, uneven ground, slopes and more complicated lawn layouts.

There are two models to choose from – the Cobra Mowbot 800X RTK and Mowbot 1500X RTK – covering different lawn sizes. Just like the best robot lawn mowers on the market, both use intelligent mapping and AI navigation to work out more efficient routes around the garden, including straighter cutting patterns/

Both models are available from Cobra and selected UK retailers, with the Mowbot 800X RTK currently priced at £769.99 and the larger Mowbot 1500X RTK at £899.99. They're currently exclusive to the UK, but their full prices work out at roughly $1,100 and $1,270 respectively based on direct currency conversion.

Instead of relying on a physical cable, the new Mowbots use RTK satellite positioning to work out exactly where they are and remain within virtual boundaries. Once everything is set up, you can also adjust different mowing zones and lawn layouts through the accompanying app.

One particularly useful feature is the Mowbots' ability to lift their blades when crossing gravel, allowing them to move between separate areas of lawn without trying to mow the path in between. Both models also use a mulching system, so there's no grass box to empty.

Safety features include lift sensors, collision detection and an automatic blade stop, whilst the AI navigation is designed to detect obstacles such as trees, garden furniture and other features and adjust the mower's route accordingly.
