At just two months old, Pickle was handed to a vet to be put to sleep. The Greyhound had suffered a fracture to his hip and his owners decided the best thing to do was have him euthanised.
But while the vet they surrendered him to took on the responsibility of the little dog, he had other ideas and called on the help of a Co Tyrone charity to help save his life.
The pup underwent surgery and treatment to secure the fracture and after months of healing and rehabilitation thanks to the Malamute Sanctuary NI, little Pickle is today a year old and ready for action and a new home.

A spokesperson for the charity said: " We took him in and fell in love with his sweet personality. Pickle had been surrendered to local vets to be euthanised aged only eight weeks due to a hip fracture. He is now a year old and is ready for a loving home who will look after his needs.
"He is a wee bundle of joy, so loving and eager to please and he gives the best snuggles ever.
"Pickle is very well socialised and has grown up with small and large breed dogs as well as a baby in the home where he was fostered.
"He loves to cuddle on the sofa and would make a great companion for the right family. He is house trained, loves gentle down time with his humans and he can be rehomed in a home with children aged 5+.
"Like any young dog, he is a busy boy with lots of energy but due to the injury he suffered, he needs only short walks and he needs to be kept in from cold weather. Pickle has a wardrobe full of coats and jumpers which he is happy to model."
