In recent days, Year 10 pupils at the school have also been learning about their carbon footprint. The school are hoping the pop-up shop will be a great practical example for all students about the difference we can make.
Mrs Derby, Vice Principal of Saintfield High School, said: "Our pop-up shop has epitomised the generosity and culture of working together so evident within our school community.
"It has been heartening to see parents and carers participate in this scheme with such gusto - we thank them for their kindness and care. We are confident that this scheme really will make a difference to many.”
Items available at the pop-up shop include school blazers, jumpers, skirts, PE uniforms, and black schoolbags. A suggested donation of £5 per item is in place, however, families are invited to contribute what they can.
Parents and carers at the school are able to attend the event on July 4 and 5, as well as August 22 and 23.
