Bangor Central Integrated PS has been crowned Northern Ireland Primary Schools’ Netball champions for the third year running.
The major tournament was held on Saturday in Lisburn Racquets Club. During the competition the top 10 primary school netball teams from across Northern Ireland competed for the coveted title.
Bangor Central IPS - coached by Alison Henry and assisted by Louise Stevenson - were hosts for the event following their previous win in 2019. They managed an unbeaten run throughout the afternoon and progressed into a tense final match against St Columba’s Primary School.

Central came away with a winning score of 4-1.
Wing attack Lucy Williams was awarded the trophy for best player within the team, voted for by an opposing team. She was also the inaugural recipient of the Moyà McVeigh Umpires' Choice Award.
Mr Campbell, the school’s principal said, “The Bangor Central family are extremely proud of every girl on the netball squad and the remarkable achievement of being the Northern Ireland champions for the third year. The girls and their coaches deserve this exceptional award due to their skills and dedication to improving their game during the past year.”
