CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wants Tollywood to relocate to Vizag, promises support

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday urged the Telugu film industry to shift from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam and promised the who's who of the Tollywood to provide house sites and land for film studios in the port city.

Jagan, who met film stars Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu and others here to discuss fixation of rates for cinema tickets, took the opportunity to market Visakhapatnam as the new capital of the Tollywood. He said the Telugu film industry earns more revenue from Andhra Pradesh than Telangana both in terms of the number of theatres and population.
