Clyne solid, Zaha scores again: Crystal Palace player ratings as Eagles relegate Watford

Jack Butland - 7

He wasn't required to do anything until the 20th minute when collecting a simple cross from Hassane Kamar but was alert when called upon thereafter.

Nathaniel Clyne - 8

Brilliant in the physical battle with Emmanuel Dennis and Josh King, rarely putting a foot wrong at the back as Palace kept Watford at bay for long periods.

Marc Guehi (for Tyrick Mitchell 73') - 7

He almost steered a good header at the back post back across Foster's goal early on but saw the effort go just over. He was forced off in the second period after going down off the ball for the second time in the game.

Joachim Andersen - 7

He played some customary, terrific long passes up the pitch, including one early on that Odsonne Edouard almost controlled and set up for Conor Gallagher.

Joel Ward - 7

Captain for the afternoon. He made an excellent long ball to find Michael Olise during the first half and looked solid defensively once again despite playing at left-back for the afternoon.

Will Hughes - 6

He was making his first league start since the reverse fixture at Vicarage Road and took some time to settle into the game before finding his feet.

Ebere Eze - 6

Made some good supporting runs and switched play to the flanks from central areas quickly to get attacks started. Some clever flicks set Palace away on attacks and linked up well with Edouard.

Conor Gallagher (for Jeffrey Schlupp 63') - 6

Good early signs that he'd add to his goal tally against Watford with some neat touches around the box, but he slowed down as the game progressed before being taken off for Jeffrey Schlupp.

Michael Olise - 6

Always bursting with energy and trying to conjure some magic on the wing. Picking himself up the floor more often than not as Watford tried to stop him at the source.

Odsonne Edouard - 7

He almost got on the end of several good passes early on before seeing his biggest chance of the game come back off of Foster's post after he'd squeezed an effort through the keeper's legs following quick feet in the box.

Wilfried Zaha (for Jean-Philippe Mateta 83') - 8

Had Palace's first shot on target before firing the Eagles into the lead from the penalty spot after 30 minutes, sending Foster the wrong way with a powerful strike to make it 14 for the season.

Substitutes

Jeffrey Schlupp (for Conor Gallagher 63') - 6

Had a good chance on goal during stoppage time but Foster was equal to it.

Tyrick Mitchell (for Marc Guehi 73') - N/A

Jean-Philippe Mateta (for Wilfried Zaha 83') - N/A
