A Clydebank man jailed for life for murdering his own son two decades ago has died in prison.
Edward Simpson, 55, a prisoner at HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee, died on March 18.
Mr Simpson was sentenced at Glasgow High Court in 2002 after being found guilty of the brutal killing of his 18-year-old son, also named Edward, in November 2001.
It is understood Simpson died of natural causes. Police Scotland have been advised of the death.

The Scottish Prison Service have confirmed that a Fatal Accident Inquiry will be carried out in due course.
A statement released on their website read: "Edward Simpson, 55, a prisoner from HMP Castle Huntly has died on 18 March 2022. Mr Simpson was sentenced at Glasgow High Court in 2002.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal. A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
