Club Soda: Alcohol-free bar in Covent Garden to close at the end of Dry January

One of London’s few alcohol-free bars is set to close this month, it has been announced on Instagram. Club Soda Tasting Room, the non-alcoholic bar and bottle shop on Drury Lane in Covent Garden, will shut on January 25, just before the end of Dry January.

The venue opened at the end of 2022 as a bricks-and-mortar extension of Club Soda, the mindful drinking business founded by Laura Willoughby, which has spent the past decade promoting better low- and no-alcohol options. Since launch, it has hosted events, tastings and an online shop, priding itself on offering greater choice for people who want to drink less or not at all. The bar, or tasting room, was seen as an extension of that.
