A Clondalkin man has transformed a cluttered room into a thriving recording studio that has been used by some top podcast stars.
Ryan Cassells Holmes is giving anyone interested in recording music or recording a podcast the opportunity to do it in a professional setting.
Ryan is a recent graduate and he decided to take up the bass after he finished college.

But he stumbled upon a cluttered room in the music shop that he saw potential in.
He told Dublin Live: “This time last year, I finished my course in sound engineering and music production in BIMM. I used to play guitar but I fell out of love with it but I ended up taking on the bass.
“I went down to the music shop in my local village in Clondalkin. They teach bass so I said I’ll pop in and enquire about learning.
“Throughout learning it, I was chatting away to the owner of the shop and the teachers. He had a space where the shop is.
“It was full of clutter, instruments and different things. So I asked if it would be okay if I cleaned it and started running a recording studio part time.”
Ryan decided to put a lot of money into the equipment and started advertising the space.
He initially advertised it as a recording studio but then he added a podcast studio to it and it caught the attention of the So Over It podcast by Enya Martin of Giz a Laugh and Jordan Reddy.
Ryan said: “During the Spotify Wrap Up they realised they had a lot of podcast fans so we started shooting them here.
“There’s a couple of guests who’ve been here, it’s very exciting. Darren Conway was here and Davina Devine.
“It’s been a great journey. It’s very niche. I’m always encouraged to get a little bit better, it’s a work in progress.
“There’s not really much in my area so I’m fortunate to have this and give other people opportunities."
