Clonburris takes major step toward development as first 569 homes approved

Cairn Homes Dublin

A plan for 569 homes in a new west Dublin suburb has been granted permission.

The development by Cairn Homes is the latest approval for the new Clonburris strategic development zone between Clondalkin and Lucan. It's the first raft of homes that have been given the go ahead for the future home of 23,000 people.

Back in July the Government approved €186 million in funding for the new neighbourhood. Overall there are plans to construct over 8,400 homes to bring the SDZ to completion.
