New Delhi: An international workshop was hosted in Delhi on Tuesday on 'Climate Balance and Disaster Management In The Himalayan Region' of the country, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Several environment experts as well as many other eminent personalities from related fields participated in the workshop.
The workshop was organized by the Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) on behalf of the Uttarakhand Government.
Experts brainstorm
On this occasion, experts brainstormed deeply on the condition of the Himalayas, environmental protection and disaster management and suggested measures to reduce natural disasters in the Himalayan region.
The crux of the workshop was that the Himalayas are the soul of the Nation and the environmental balance is collective responsibility.
Prof Durgesh Pant
On this occasion, Director General of Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology (UCOST), Prof Durgesh Pant in an interaction with Dynamite News asserted that for the conservation of Himalayas, every person will have to be sensitive and give priority to environmental conservation.

Pant said that last year Dehradun Declaration was organized in this regard, which was lauded all over the world. This program is being held here in Delhi to implement the ideas that came out of Dehradun Declaration.
Prof Durgesh Pant further said that next year we will organize a global conference on Climate Change and Disaster Management in Uttarakhand. Today's workshop is the first step in that direction, he added.

Dr Dinesh Tyagi, IAS (Retd), President, Society of Digital Entrepreneurs (SODES), in an exclusive conversation with Dynamite News, said that the Himalayas are the soul of the country. He said that the Himalayas need everyone's participation in the Third Pole environmental balance and disaster management.
