Cleveland factory once tied to auto history sells for $300,000, avoiding demolition

There was a time when Cleveland’s Berea Road was home to one of America’s most important automobile factories. Now, after decades of changing uses and a near-demolition, the sprawling former Winton Motor Carriage Works is getting another chance. According to NEOtrans, aGreater Cleveland developer has acquired the long-vacant industrial complex for $300,000 and is preparing a phased redevelopment of the historic property.
