Cleaning expert's amazing natural cleaning spray hack that only costs 59p to make

We'd all love to have an immaculate home that is tidy all the time and a cleaning cupboard stocked with all the latest and most innovative products. However, the fact is cleaning products can be expensive, and with the ongoing cost of living crisis and increasing energy bills, it's not quite as simple relying in expensive products to do the heavy lifting.

Luckily, cleaning experts at Studio have shared an incredibly handy trick that could save you a lot of money in the long run, and it's also better for the environment.

Instead of replacing a cleaning spray every time you finish one, why not create a natural, homemade one using products you already have in your cupboard?

All you need is bicarbonate of soda, an empty spray bottle, and water – or simply sprinkle it on surfaces and wipe using a wet sponge.

The experts explained: "Bicarbonate of soda is one of the most effective natural products you can use for cleaning surfaces and grout, removing dirt, and even unblocking drains. Best of all, you can purchase it for around 59p in supermarkets.

"You can use bicarbonate of soda by simply sprinkling it over the surfaces you want to clean and using a wet sponge to gently wipe it away.

"Alternatively, you can create your own cleaning spray with 150ml of water and two heaped tablespoons of baking soda. For an even more effective cleaning spray, add the same quantity of white vinegar to your mix."

White vinegar is handy for all sorts of things, such as removing limescale from your shower and shower head.

For example, if you remove your shower head and pop it in a bucket or sink filled with water and white vinegar, and leave it overnight, it will come out looking brand new.
