Claude suffers ‘major outage’ as users report issues

  • Users reported having problems with the AI assistant Claude on Wednesday.
  • The development company Anthropic confirmed there was an active issue which caused “elevated errors on Claude.ai, API, Claude Code”.
  • Claude’s status page also confirmed that there was a “major outage” following complaints from users.
  • Anthropic stated that the issue had been fixed at 11:03am (ET).
  • However, following a recovery, a later message read: “Claude.ai and Platform are down”.
