Sunderland will face Wycombe Wanderers in the League One play-off final after their 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsbrorough was enough to send them through 2-1 on aggregate.
Patrick Roberts scored in injury-time to level for Alex Neil's men on the night after Lee Gregory had given the hosts the lead in the second half, to level the scores over the tie. But Roberts was the man of the moment, converting Clarke's cross from close range to the delight of the travelling supporters.
The Black Cats will face a Wycombe side who finished sixth in the League One table, but who overcame MK Dons 2-1 over two legs to book their place in the Wembley showdown.
