Clare and Limerick face off this weekend in the final of the Munster Senior Hurling CHampionship.
Not many predicted Clare would be in the Munster final let alone the all Ireland Series at the beginning of the Championship. The Banner County have pulled off surprising victories over Cork, Tipperary and Waterford, to go along with a draw a couple of weeks ago against Limerick.
John Kiely's Limerick, on the other hand, have surprised no-one by making the Munster final. The reigning All Ireland Champions have been in imperious form and look back to their very best.
Cian Lynch is a major doubt for this weekend. No timeline for his return has been given, however, John Kiely said at the time that it was unlikely Lynch would play in the remainder of the Munster Championship. Barry Murphy and Peter Casey are still out.

Limerick boss John Kiely
“It’s a great competition and one that every player in Munster should want to be a part of it and to be successful in it. The Munster final is always a very special day.
"Before I ever got involved I would have gone to Munster finals that Limerick had no involvement in - I was in Killarney when Nicky English kicked the ball to the net after they beat Cork and he was my teacher at the time but I was there because it was the Munster final.
"I can remember standing up on the terrace on the grass steps as it was at the time in Killarney.”
