CLARE GAA have given up home advantage to Limerick for their eagerly-awaited Munster hurling final decider on Sunday week.
Munster GAA confirmed this afternoon that the latest installement of hurling’s current number one rivalry wil take place at the Gaelic Grounds with over 40,000 fans expected to pour into the stadium.
Clare GAA had originally proposed Semple Stadium with their Limerick counterparts seeking Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Banner chiefs asked for more time to explore the possibility of playing the game at Limerick’s home venue, which is right on the Clare border.
The two counties have since reached agreement on the Gaelic Grounds as the venue.
Some eyebrows have been raised in the county with Semple Stadium also near to Clare.
A Munster CCC meeting earlier today confirmed that the Gaelic Grounds would host the game on Sunday, June 11 with a 1.45 pm throw-in.
Stand tickets will be distributed through County Boards only, while terrace tickets will go on general sale tomorrow at 12 Noon.
A 40,000 sell out is expected after last year’s epic extra-time decider at Semple Stadium, which Limerick emerged from to land their fourth Munster title on the bounce in front of just over 43,000 fans.
Clare beat Limerick by 1-24 to 2-20 in a thriller at the Gaelic Grounds last month when the sides met in the round robin with 30,460 supporters looking on.
40, 870 fans crammed into the Gaelic Grounds last Sunday to see Limerick’s winner takes all, one point victory over Cork, who crashed out of the Championship.
